Birth: What To Pack For The Hospital

Leggings & Tank: H&M | Shoes: Old Navy

This week marks 36 weeks for me now. With that being said, it could be "GO" time at anytime! A friend of mine recently gave birth at 36 weeks, lucky dog. Anyways, I have compiled a list for you below on what to pack for a hospital birth and the other thing that I am going to mention is have your car seat installed in the car and waiting as well.
what to pack for birth
My Bag: Louis Vuitton | Baby Diaper Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Here are a few things to help you nesters/planners get your items in order for your upcoming hospital birth. If you are like me, a total planner, then you are eager to have another thing completed and checked off the list. This is pretty detailed so take it as you will. Some people like a lot of details (me) while others can be a little more streamlined. It is up to you and just a guide that I put together to help myself. I would always rather be over prepared than under. (Like they say, I am the one you want to go camping with!) I am a total over-packer and found it easier to put the baby items in her own bag and then all of mine in a separate bag. Plus, I am funny about what to wash the baby items in and I don't want her items smelling like my detergent and fabric softener in case she is sensitive. I know type-A.
For Labor:
  • ID
  • Insurance card
  • Any hospital paperwork you might need (mine was all online before hand)
  • Birth plan (if you must)
  • Important numbers in the front of your notebook/journal in case your phone does not work
  • Bath robe with loose sleeves or loose dark fitting gown
  • 2-3 pairs of socks (you don't mind getting dirty or throwing out)
  • Slippers (dark or old)
  • Warm sweater
  • Lip balm, your lips can dry out during labor
  • Phone, ipad/ chargers
  • Camera & chargers
  • Book or magazine to help pass time (some say this is pointless)
  • Hairbands
  • Glasses and/or contacts & solution
  • Pillow if you are picky
  • Gum

For Your Honey:(Mine is in charge of himself)
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes

  • Slippers
  • Cheap flip-flops for shower

  • Pads if you do not like the hospital kind
  • Bath towel
  • Blow dryer/irons
  • Headband and ponytail holders
  • Fresh pj's
  • 2- nursing bras/tanks
  • Nursing pads
  • Nipple cream if you are already sore or sensitive

Basic Maternity Style With a Braid

side braid
basic maternity outfit with wedges
Striped Tee with camo jacket
Purple Winged Tote
Top: Target | Tank: Old Navy | Pants: Old Navy | Jacket: GAP old, similar from Old Navy | Shoes: Dolce Vita | Bag: Phillip Lim for Target not avail, love this | Sunnies: old love these Ray Bans | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Tory Burch

Happy Tuesday Loves! I woke up this morning totally excited for Fall. I heard the wind blowing a bit, took the dogs out and realized it was a little on the cooler side-yay. I am normally not "over" Summer, but at 36 weeks pregnant, I am "OVER" it. Ha! Here is a simple pre-fall look that is all of your basics for an outfit and yet can still be Summer-Autumn all in one.
My striped top is non-maternity, perfectly stretchy and even back to its normal shape after washing. My white denim is maternity and I love the waist band as it makes them super comfy but any white skinny pant would do. The camo jacket is great for our cooler evenings and just light enough, finished with my favorite shoes right now and there you go, basic and simple style all in one!
Wishing you a wonderful week!

Happy Birthday Mama... (((loooove you)))

35 Weeks

Photographer: Gina Casey at GMC Photography
Dress: eShakti
Boots: Steve Madden old
Husband: Mine ;]

Here is a little sneak peek into our lovely maternity photo session we had a few days back. Ahhh these pictures came out AMAZING and I am so thrilled to keep going through them and pick out more to be able to share with you!

Bump Update: 35 1/2 weeks and counting!

Haha, its funny when you throw in the 1/2's. It's when you're in a hurry to be a teenager and again to turn 21 and then on the countdown like now when you are so excited and eager to meet your sweet little angel baby girl!

Weeks: 35

Total Weight Gain: 24.5

Maternity Clothes: Yes and some regulars but I am not buying anything maternity anymore!

Stretch Marks: No, still lubing my belly day and night in Coconut Oil and Shea/Coco Butter

Symptoms: I have started to get really tired again in the past week/10 days. I have also experienced nausea again in the evenings and am back on ginger ale and my sea band for bed! Ugg

Sleep: Super uncomfortable at night. I wake up to go to the bathroom 1-2 times, rolling over in bed is like a beached whale in sand and my belly now needs its own pillow for support along with my body pillow!

Exercise: Some days I feel like doing it and some days I don't.

Best Moment This Week: Dr telling me she should NOT be a 10 pounder! My belly is measuring normal for sizing-WooHoo!!!!!

Miss Anything? YES!!! Sushi, Salty Margarita on the rocks and the ability to drink more COFFEE!! Oh and to eat at a table like a normal person. I am running out of room and it is hard to eat upright or even slightly bent over. I practically have to lean back to eat!

Movement: She still wiggles all the time! Now her body is laying crosswise (oblique) and I am getting punched in the ribs!

Cravings: Still fruit! Nice and cold peaches, nectarines, envy apples and grapes!

Belly Button: Kinda heading out, looks a little funny in some clothes...

Wedding Rings: On

Mood: Happy until I get sick in the evenings :[

Looking Forward To: Meeting this sweet little baby girl!!

I would also like to take a minute and say
to the 1st sweet girl in my life Chelsea!!!!!
She is 18 today and yet will always and forever be the wild, funny, rambunctious 6 year old with pig-tails and pony's running around like a wild woman in my heart!
Wishing you the best birthday yet and cheers to many more!!!
Love you to pieces...
